Wanaka is a delightful lake town with a warm, welcoming pace. Gorgeous walks around the lake, stop and relax for some sun and enjoy the happy hours and fun restaurants and shops!
Te Anau is a wonderful lake town that is a great stop to visit Milford sound. Again, it is filled with great restaurants and happy hours along with a beautiful walk around the lake. Super kind, friendly people! An added plus (the accomodating people at the Cozy Kiwi B&B recommend) is the ATA WHENUA SHADOWLAND presents "Fiordland on Film", WOW!!!
There is one word to describe Milford Sound: AWESOME!!! A highlight and must see on the South island of New Zealand. Seeing waterfalls, huge rocky mountains and seals basking on the rocks are amazing!
