Beat the Heat!!!

Hello from Mosquito Beachwear,

I bet most of you can relate to the HOT weather cries most of us are making across the U.S.!!!  Good grief!  This will make the fourth straight day of 100 degrees or better in the Denver area. The record for consecutive triple-digit highs is five days from July 4 though July 8, 2005. That year saw seven days total of temperatures over 100 degrees. So far in 2012, Denver has had five!!!

So, how about some ideas to beat the heat?!?   Frozen cocktails, Aqua Zumba at your nearest swimming pool and tubing along Boulder Creek are a few favorites of mine!

Here is a fun list from Colorado Moms:
•There are a lot of parks that aren’t very pricey to get into around the Metro. Bear Creek Lake is one of them! Great trails, sand and surf! Well, wind surfing anyway.

•Check your local museums and parks for free days! In Denver, we have this great list of free days put on by the SCFD – Check out the list of remaining free days here.

•Hit the mall! Park Meadows, FlatIrons and others around the metro area are nicely airconditioned. Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood even has glow in the dark putt putt and arcades!
•The fountains outside the Denver Museum of Nature and Science are fun, free and full of people watching!

•Check out the discounted movies offered by many local theaters. I know in Denver there are some great movies for only $1 and bonus, 2 hours of air conditioned bliss.
If you're not in the Denver area, I'm sure most cities have equally great ideas!

Have a Cool Day!!!
