If you're looking for a cozy, romantic boutique hotel in Playa, look no more . . . Hotel Aventura Mexicana is just the answer! We just returned from a 5 day stay there (after a week at a nearby all inclusive). It's located 2 blocks from Playa's white, sandy beaches & just 1/2 block from Playa's 5th Avenue; full of shops & restaurants.
While staying at the Aventura you get free acces to Kool Beach Club, which we found to be a great sunning and people watching place! They play pumping clubby music and have lots of umbrellas to keep out the scorching sun, whew! My husband got a great massage on the beach - $25 for an hour! He was thrilled!
The tropical courtyard is lush with all the palm trees and foliage. The tile work and stair balustrades are charming and make for an exotic look! A free continental breakfast is included and they have free wifi, which was great! We found the food at their Mayan Bistro to be very good with excellent, friendly service.
Walking around 5th Avenue is a kick with all the shouts of "Señor/Señores, take a look at what I have!" Talk about a kick, look at these super high heeled ladies shoes! WOW! I love to hear the Mariachis! They are so much fun!
Overall, we had a very nice time! Lots to see and do! Of course the main reason we went there was a destination wedding and it was Fabulous!
